For Fairway members who are working on becoming anti-racist and committed to more education in this area...
I'm hosting a couple of discussion groups on the documentary film, Deconstructing Karen, which profiles the work of Race2Dinner co-founders Saira Rao and Regina Jackson (who subsequently wrote the book, White Women):
the target audience of the film specifically is white women - but all women are welcome to join the discussion group, as long as you have watched the film (1 hour long).
Men are not allowed to join this session, for psychological safety reasons. Thanks for understanding why! 🙏
If you would like me to cover your film rental ($4.27 USD) I would be happy to do so.
Let me know if you'd like to participate, and I'll drop the Zoom links to the sessions here! They will be held on:
Thursday, 1/26 @ 8pm EST / 5pm PST
Wednesday, 2/1 @ 5pm EST / 2pm PST
Here is the link to join the Weds. 2/1 discussion at 5pm EST:

Sorry I couldn't join yesterday! I got stuck trying to get some last minute shopping done so I'm all prepped for starting a new job next week 🙌
Nora, I'd love to join tomorrow... This film was AMAZING! My youngest has covid, so our house is a bit unpredictable, but I will do my best to attend. I'm assuming it's an open invitation, just let me know if I have it wrong. Either way, thanks for sharing.
Here is the link for the Thurs. 1/26 session (8pm EST / 5pm PST):
Link should work for anyone who has it. If you are having trouble logging in at day/time of, text me: (412) 523-9239
I’d love to join on Thursday!

I would love to watch the film but can't make the sessions; am in Europe this week and class next week.
Thanks for sharing the resources.
