I am a Wellness Revolutionary that believes it is time for companies to prioritize their people by valuing their whole person wellness needs. Most people spend most of their days working or doing work-related activities, which makes it impossible for them to truly take care of themselves.
As a Wellness Programs Designer, I believe in the importance of companies providing customized wellness solutions based on the needs of their people and not a checklist. After all, a mom's wellness needs are different from those of a single woman. Age, ethnicity, household size, income, and physical ability are just some factors that play a role in determining those needs.
I begin all program designs with a kick-off call to identify the immediate mental and emotional needs of employees followed by a series of workshops to provide some initial education, and coping tools. During this time, I focus on addressing burnout, stress management, assessing key health needs and more.
I love working with progressive companies that value their employees. Typically, these companies are led by women, or have majority women employees, or have women in leadership positions. For some reason, changing the culture of wellness is more welcomed when women are involved.
My ask is that if you know a decision-maker (ERG leader, HR manager, Chief Wellness Office, Supplier Manager, Executive) of a company that wants to improve or create a prioritized Wellness Culture, I would love to be connected with them. The company must care about their people!
