When I asked Sharon Price John for some thoughts navigating micro (and macro) aggressions in Corporate America and Silicon Valley she stopped what she was doing, looked me in the eye, and gave me coaching in the middle of the Hilton Midtown NY lobby where I am at CommerceNext.
Some highlights but so many more:
....The alpha girls...the children...when they're in the cave while the men and boys are out competing, and killing each other...The alpha girl is looking to collaborate, to build connections, that is her greatest survival instinct...and competitive edge.
I actually just grabbed her and hugged her.
Her session was brilliant, right on 🎯
"Inspiring Agile Leadership In a Constantly Shifting Retail World."
Based on her book, "Stories and Heart," she'll discuss how leadership styles need to adapt to the landscape at hand. In times of transformation, Sharon draws inspiration from a military training construct called VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous). She encourages leaders to envision beyond the immediate future, embracing a mindset that propels success amidst the constant evolution of the retail world.
So my ask is let's lean into that together 💪💪💪
❤️❤️❤️
VUCA was the foundation of my masters last year! 💯
